North Ridge Church launched publically on August 22, 2010. Since the launch of the church we have seen God do amazing things with almost 50 baptisms in just a little over a year of ministry, we have seen incredible numerical growth with our average attendance almost tripling, and the growth spiritually has been life changing! Our weekly worship gathering has grown to over 200 people and our monthly mission Sunday that we call Take It To The Streets has been amazing to send over 100 people out on mission every Second Sunday morning! We have also started six Missional Community Groups where people get connected relationally to do life and mission with others. We cannot express how amazing it has been over the last 15 months and we are anticipating even greater things in 2012! You are going to want to join the mission here at North Ridge Church! (written Dec. 8th 2011)

Missional Community GroupsMissional Community Groups are groups that meet weekly or biweekly in homes. The groups are not your typical small groups or Lifegroups because they are about Mission and Community. The groups strive to be Missional in that they go out and serve together during our Take It To The Streets Sundays. The groups are also missional because they are committed to inviting people who might not come to a Sunday Morning Gathering, but will go hang out at someone's house and eat dinner and meet some friends. It is a great place to connect and build friendships. Our missional communities worship God, live in community, get trained for ministry, and over time make disciples together. Being involved in community is critical to BEING the church rather than simply attending church.JOIN ONE THIS WEEK!

North Ridge Global MissionsWe are currently in the process of praying about what country we are going to invest in over the next few years. We are a new church and our goal would be to have 3-5 countries that we identify to serve. This is something that we are working on and more information will be avaliable soon.

TAKE IT TO THE STREETSTake It To The Streets is our primary way to engage our people into local missions. Our hope is that those who go and serve once a month will develop a passion for the people they are serving and get involved on a deeper level with our local mission partners. Take It To The Streets is something that is kind of outside of the box from the traditional way that churches have functioned. Take It To The Streets takes place the Second Sunday of every month. Instead of doing our normal weekly worship gathering we will gather at 9:00am at Rosa Scott and go out in teams to serve the community. (If you have children they will stay at the school for a missions project designed for them). We believe that following Jesus is about BEING the church and not just having Church services, so we are making it a high priority to go out and take the love of Jesus to others. We will be ministering in many different ways. Just to name a couple we will be working with a children's home, feeding the homeless, working in a huge gardern to grow food for people in poverty that live in Madison County, serving other church plants, serving the elderly, doing repairs for people who are unable, and etc. You might be asking why Sunday morning? The reason we chose to do it on Sunday Morning is because we believe it is God's will for all of us to serve others and want to make it accessible to all of our people. We believe that it will be more attainable if we do it Sunday Morning rather than a Saturday or some other time. We also believe that we desperately need to paint a new picture of what it means to follow Jesus and BE the Church, so we are putting high priority on serving as Jesus served. If you want to be part of a Church that is taking the gospel outside of its walls then check us out!

Current Teaching SeriesWe are currently in a Series titled The Life and Teachings of Jesus. Go to our Media Player to watch all the messages from this series or from other past series. Come and join us on a Sunday morning at Rosa Scott High School in Madison, MS.

RIDGE KIDSAt North Ridge we love children and we believe that it is God calling for us to invest and develop children for Christ. Our hope is to create an environment where chidlren can experience the love of Jesus. We currently offer a Sunday morning children's program for ages birth -2nd grade. Ridge Kids takes place at the same time their parents are in the worship gathering. We are dillegently working to add 3rd-5th grade in the very near future, but as of now they go into the worship gathering with their parents. We also require that all adult volunteers have a background check before they work with the children because we strive to create a safe and healthy learning environment for your family.

DNA of North Ridge Church (See video)Every Church is creating a culture whether they realize it or not and the DNA or the environments that each church creates determine the result of what it produces. At North Ridge our heart is to create a Discipling Culture! A culture that produces disciples is not going to happen unless we are intentional about it. We have spent a great deal of time studying the life of Jesus and the way He did discipleship and have modeled our Church after His philosophy. Jesus understood to create a movement that would change the world it was about creating a discipling culture. Jesus used four primary environments in His ministry and we have adopted them as our four environments. (listed below)OUR FOUR ENVIRONMENTS1. Worship Gathering2. Missional Communities3. Huddle Groups 4. Take It To The Streets

WHAT WE BELIEVE1. ABOUT GOD God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.(Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14)2. ABOUT JESUS CHRIST Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; I Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13)3. ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily. (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8, I Cor. 2:12, 3:16; Eph. 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Eph. 5:18)4. ABOUT THE BIBLE The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.(II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20, 21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5)5. ABOUT HUMAN BEINGSPeople are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2)6. ABOUT SALVATIONSalvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)7. ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITYBecause God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot "lose" it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.(John 10:29; II Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 10:10,14; I Peter 1:3-5)8. ABOUT ETERNITYPeople were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 1:8; Matthew 2:44,46)This means that we will teach people to commit all they are and have to God. Followers of Christ will live as Jesus would live if He were in their body. We will emphasize the importance of humbly serving others. We value church membership as a statement of commitment to serve together in fulfilling the mission of Christ. (1 Kings 11; 4; Philippians 2:1-11, 2 Corinthians 8:6-7)2. Authenticity Authentic Christians are willing to be open about their strengths and weaknesses. Hypocrisy is the death of the churchs' effectiveness. This means we encourage Christians to guard against living a double life. Relational authenticity is vital to the life of the community. Truth-telling and Biblical conflict resolution are essential to relational authenticity. (Ephesians 4:25-26, 32)3. CommunityFully devoted followers of Christ are devoted to continual life change. We believe life change happens best in small groups of Christian community. This means that we are connected to other Christians in God-honoring ways as described in Acts 2:42-47. We value opening our lives up to others for accountability and growth. (Acts 2:42-47, Philippians 1:6)4. TruthWe believe the church should remain culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. The Good News of Jesus Christ must be applied to the contemporary culture. We will strategically communicate the Gospel to our culture through our Preaching, worship, multimedia, and the use of the arts. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)5. ServiceThe church will see its greatest influence in being servants to the community. We will constantly strive to touch our community with acts of kindness for the purpose of showing and sharing the love of Christ. (Matthew 20:26-28)
